Terms of Service

Welcome to Zaps! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our AI-powered multi-model consensus platform ("Service"). By accessing or using Zaps, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Overview

Zaps operates an AI Council platform that aggregates responses from multiple large language models (LLMs) to provide consensus-driven answers. Users submit queries and receive synthesized responses from various AI models including GPT-4, Claude, Gemini, and others available through our service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By agreeing to these Terms, you represent that: (a) you are at least 13 years of age; (b) you have not previously been suspended or removed from the Service; and (c) your registration and use of the Service complies with applicable laws and regulations.

If you are under 18 years of age, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.

3. Account Registration

To access the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate information including your email address. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Keeping your account information accurate and up-to-date

If you believe your account security has been compromised, notify us immediately.

4. Credits and Pricing

4.1 Credit System

Access to the Service requires credits. Upon registration, you receive 500 free credits. Each query consumes credits based on:

  • Default Configuration (All Models): 100-150 credits per query
  • Custom Model Selection: 30 credits per model + 50 additional if Claude Opus 4 is selected

4.2 Free Trial

Unauthenticated users may submit one (1) free query without creating an account. Additional queries require account registration.

4.3 Credit Purchases

Additional credits may be purchased through our platform (feature coming soon). All credit purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by law.

4.4 Credit Expiration

Credits do not expire as long as your account remains active. We reserve the right to expire unused credits after 365 days of account inactivity.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Generate illegal, harmful, or malicious content
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or compromise the Service
  • Use automated tools to abuse or overload the Service
  • Share your account credentials with others

6. Content and Intellectual Property

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of any queries, prompts, or content you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a limited license to process it through our AI models to provide the Service.

6.2 AI-Generated Content

Responses generated by the AI models are provided to you for your use. However, AI-generated content may not be unique to you, as similar queries may produce similar responses. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before use.

6.3 Our Intellectual Property

The Zaps platform, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without our permission.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and process data as described in our Privacy Policy, including:

  • Account information (email, name)
  • Query content and conversation history
  • Credit usage and transaction data
  • Model selection preferences and statistics

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Your queries are processed through third-party AI providers (OpenRouter) subject to their privacy policies.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance with notice when possible
  • Modify or discontinue features at any time
  • Change pricing or credit costs with 30 days notice
  • Add or remove AI models from the Service

9. Disclaimers and Limitations

9.1 AI Accuracy

AI-GENERATED RESPONSES MAY CONTAIN ERRORS, INACCURACIES, OR OUTDATED INFORMATION. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING ALL CONTENT BEFORE USE.

9.2 No Professional Advice

The Service does not provide legal, medical, financial, or professional advice. Do not rely on AI-generated content for critical decisions without consulting qualified professionals.

9.3 "As Is" Service

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

11. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent activity
  • Abuse the Service or harm other users

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, unused credits are forfeited and non-refundable.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You agree to waive your right to a jury trial or to participate in class action lawsuits.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
